Spirit of the Festival

The spirit of E Ho`i Mai I Ka Piko Hula can best be described by what happens at the pre-event day long workshop for participants and what goes on backstage at the event. Everyone comes together in a spirit of 'ohana (family). New friendships are forged, kokua (cooperation)  and sharing are commonplace, and an overwhelming spirit of excitement, aloha (love), and fun is experienced within this "competition" which has taken on a life of its own.
